At the mosque this morning, after the morning prayer, there was a 'morning sermon' by an Ustaz. Today being Saturday, most mosques would take the opportunity to have some program after the morning prayer. The program would usually go on till about 7.30am after which breakfast is served. This mosque that I go to is no different. The Ustaz this morning was talking, among other things, about Abu Thalib, the uncle of Muhammad SAW, how he died a non believer although throughout his life, he loved and was the main defender and protector of the prophet against the Quraish. However, another view on this says that Abu Thalib died a believer. I have done some readings on this subject before. From all these readings, I tend to agree with the second view. I believe he died a Muslim.
