The beginning of the internet

Do you know that the internet was first known as Arpanet. That was way back in Oct 1969 when a Prof Leonard Klienrock from the University of California, Los Angeles led a team that got a computer from UCLA to talk to another computer, in a research project for Arpanet with money from a research arm of the US military's Advanced Research Projects Agency (Arpa). That was the beginning of what we all know now as the internet. In the forty years since, who would have envisaged the internet as it is now? Facebook, You Tube, Twitter etc. etc.
In 1969, I was only 13 years old. Computers were something from outer space!
