A learning process

Whatever people do, I will follow. That was what I used to do. I never questioned if they were right or wrong. I just assumed. No, I never even assume. I just followed like a blind man without giving it much thought. It was only later when I started reading and learning more about Islam that I started to ask questions. Then I realised that not all that people do were right! Some were without any basis whatsoever! Go back to the roots of Islam i.e. Quran and Hadith and it is just not there. It does not exist but still they do it! So how do you react to it?
