2008 will surely go down in history as the year of the great financial meltdown. Trillions of dollars were wiped off the world stock markets. From USA to Europe to China to The Middle East to Australia and everywhere, there's no escape from the financial tsunami. It's a crushing meltdown the scale of which is not seen before. It's history happening right before my eyes but its not something to be proud of. I'd rather it is not happening. I just hope 2009 will bring with it a wave of new optimism that will propell the world to a resounding comeback!
