An uphill battle

It was always going to be an uphill battle. Its like running a hundred metre race where your opponent is starting from the fifty metre mark while you start from zero. That's how to describe the recent election. They have control over everything, the daily papers, television channels, radio, government department, money. Add the gerrymandering which they have been doing all these years, you know the fight was never going to be fair. Yet they lose. I say lose because in terms of votes, they only manage 46%, a very poor return indeed. Its a sure sign of the popularity of this government.

Its not a problem

After the whirlwind trip to Bintulu and back yesterday, I'm feeling damn tired. Luckily today I took leave as I have some personal thing to do. Since I restarted work more than three months ago, this is the first time I'm taking leave. Been working non stop before that. Can't remember how many times I have been to Sarawak during that period. Seems like every other week. Its becoming my second home already. Its tiring for sure but its not a problem. I'm taking it all in my stride.

Another five years

What now? After the massive crowd last night at Kelana Jaya, what options does the people have? Go to the court? That's the right move legally although its not very encouraging, going by past records. Wait another five years? That's the only way. Meantime, keep the momentum going. BN will not change for sure. Now they are saying a group of people have been misled, as if that group is stupid. That's their way of thinking. In their mind, people are stupid and they treat them that way. That's why they keep on losing ground. Another five years, that's how long I will give them. After that, they'll be gone unless they change.

A great place

The fourth floor of KLIA is not frequent by many. On top is the departure floor while below is the arrival floor. I knew it when I attended the travel guide course. We were brought there by our lecturer.  There's also a restaurant where the price is not that expensive which also gives discount to travel guides. Nowadays whenever I'm early for my flight, I made a beeline to this floor, like this morning. My flight is still hours away so I find myself a quiet place and surf or blog away. A nice place to while away the time. Beats the golden lounge anytime.
