In a gridlock

I don't know what calamity has hit KL. Roadblocks were everywhere causing massive traffic jams. Sg Buloh, some twenty kilometres away from KL, was not spared either. I was on the way to town just before Maghrib but was caught in a jam. Had to make an unscheduled stop for the evening prayer or I would have missed it!

A win nonetheless

The upswing continues for Malaysian football with another win last night, although they actually lost. They will now meet Singapore in the next round. However, they need to improve further if the dream to the World Cup is to be realised. Again I see too many kicking the ball aimlessly out of defense when they could have easily hold it or pass it. They have to learn to keep possession.

Wimbledon final 2011

Who will win? Nadal or Djokovic? My heart says Nadal but my head says Djokovic. The latter has been playing unbelievable tennis the past six months, beating Nadal four times in the process, including on clay where Nadal used to reign supreme. Still, Nadal is a bull of a fighter. He will fight all the way knowing victory is but one win away.

Reaching a major milestone

In a week's time, I'II reached another milestone in my life, Insha Allah. Fifty five years of age. Wow! That's a long time to live. Throughout those years, I have experienced plenty of ups and plenty of downs. Alhamdulillah, on the brink of reaching fifty five years of age, my faith in God remains steadfast. No matter the upheavals. I take them in my stride. I except them as a test from God the Almighty. I pray to Allah SAW that I remain faithful, come what may!

Mind boggling

Everyday I read and hear of people being arrested. I don't know what wrong they have done to warrant such an action. It really is mind boggling. I keep asking myself, what are we coming to? Unfortunately, I can't find the answer.

The end is near

The local market is on a high. It has been on a bull run for quite sometime. Yesterday, it hit another peak. Don't know how long it will continue but I sure hope it can last for quite a while yet. However, I have a feeling that the peak is almost reached. Anyway, not to worry. Its just my gut feeling, that's all.

From tennis to Imam Muda.....

I didn't see the Nadal vs Murray match but from the result, I guess it must hard on Murray's diehard fans. After the first set which he won, the rest was all Nadal. Let's see if he can beat Djokovic, who himself is playing his best tennis ever. Talking about finals, the Imam Muda finalist were evenly match I thought. Nevertheless there can only be one winner. Congratulations to both of them. I shed tears of joy watching them.
