Funny weather

Really funny this weather. In the morning, everything looks fine. Sun shining brightly, everything as clear as can be but in the late afternoon, things will start to get hazy. Suddenly from my office I cannot see the building that was clearly visible in the morning. Its the haze but its only in the later part of the afternoon. Its been like this for the past four days. Its becoming like the English weather, totally unpredictable, completely unreliable.
Tomorrow I'm flying to Bintulu again. This time for a quick meeting before flying back to KL the following day. That's how it has been the last one year. KL Bintulu route has become like second nature to me.

They chose the wrong man

There is only one reason why Manchester United is struggling at the moment. They got the wrong man as their new manager. Nothing against Moyes but he is not a winner. Ten years at Everton. Yes, that's a long time going by todays standard, something to be proud of but has he won anything during that ten years? None! That's why he is finding it difficult at Man U because at Man U, he is expected to win, something which he is not use to. Look at Bayern Munich. They were already a great team, winning everything before them including the Champions League. They had a change of manager but they chose wisely. They brought in Giurdola, a winner in so many ways. He is now making a great team greater, something which Moyes is not able to do.

Hazy days

Looks like the haze is back. The past few evenings, it look like it was going to rain. I had a tough time deciding wether to put on my raincoat or not. Good thing I decided not to as it actually is the haze that is causing the sky to be dark. I noticed a few motorcyclist being fooled by it. They were in their full rain  coat attire.

Till then

Outside, the weather is hot. The sun is shining but with some sort of a haze covering it. Its already 6.30pm and I'm still at the office. Had just sent an e-mail which should be my last for the day. Preparing to make my exit after another tiring day. My back is aching. Its been two days since I first felt it. Must be because of the way I picked up Akid from the floor two nights ago. I felt the sensation straight away. Its lessened a bit now but the pain exist, although intermittently. Work, as always, never ends just as life never stop until the time comes. Till then, we are the humble servant of Allah the Almighty.

Fun time

Brought Akid to the Bandar Permaisuri recreational park. He had a wonderful time, running wild at the playground. I had a tough time keeping up with him. Maisarah as always, is fast asleep.

LIvely place

Was in the Kg Medan PJ area last night. Quite a lively place with new shop lots coming up. Very busy with motorcars, motor cycles, people selling by the roadside.

Its great

I'm back in the office in PJ after almost a week away. This morning on the way to work the traffic was heavy but I had the privileged of riding a bike. I reached the office with not much of a hassle. Its back to the routine of being in the office. A few things to clear, more things cropping up etc etc.
Maisarah has been a good girl the past three nights. She slept soundly from about 11 pm onwards. A few cries in between but not like before when it was like non stop. Now I can have proper sleep at night. Its great.

I never thought

I never thought I would be working again after I retired.
I never thought I would be riding a motorcycle to work after having driving a car all these years.
I never thought I would be doing technical stuff again after having left them for over twenty years
this beats them all, I never thought I would be having children again, twenty years after the last one

What can be learn from all of the above? In life you can never anticipate things. Things will happen when you least expected them. Therefore, just take them on the chin and get on with it while never forgetting one thing. To be always be on the straight path, heading for heaven.

It never ends

I was in Bakun for three nights and three days. Had a few meetings. Had a look at the plant especially the work that is going on. Attended a 'do' by one of the local people living around the vicinity of Bakun. Went to the local surau. Those were the activities three days in Bakun. All in all, it was a fruitful visit. Many decisions can now be made based on the information that has been gathered. For sure, this will not end there. I will come back to Bakun. There are many other things that need to be done. I will come to Bintulu. I will come to Kucing. It never ends.

Flying to KL

Another day, another airport. That has been the story of my life the past one year. KL - Bintulu - KL - Bintulu...... Do I like it? Like it or not, its what I do for a living. I have been on that route too frequent such that I couldn't bear the food that they provide. But what to do? Sometimes I take them for convenient sake especially when my flight is reaching KL at 10 pm. I don't want to go round looking for food at KLIA. I prefer to take the taxi and head straight for home.

Schumacher in the making

Back in KLIA

I'm in KLIA once again, waiting for my flight to where else but Bintulu. While waiting, as usual, I surf the internet, update my blog and just enjoy the scene below where people arriving are being greeted by tourist guides, hotel drivers etc. Its quite a busy place.

Second round

Its tough going through it a second time, especially when the first time was more than twenty years ago. Akid is okay now. He sleeps normally at night but Maisarah, she is still less than two months. Her sleep pattern is, well, there's no sleep pattern. Last night she slept at almost three in the morning. That's way too late for me but what to do, had to keep up with her. Akid, like any kid, is very very active. He still cannot speak like but he is always saying something. Very loud and noisy.

Give me the money

They never learn. Independent candidates have been losing their deposits like there's no tomorrow but yet, they keep on coming. The Kajang by election will see more independent candidates trying their luck. The way I see it, all of them are going to lose their deposit. Might as well give the money to me. I have plenty of use for it.

Eating

At Jaya Jusco

A fan

In the house, we discovered that one way to keep Akid quiet is by showing Upin Upin. He will sit still in front of the handphone/I pad or TV watching intently. He can watch for hours. Don't know if he understand it but it doesn't matter. At least we can have some peaceful time.
Last night took him to Upin Upin restaurant. He seems to enjoy it.

Just get on with it

Early in the morning, she is already up. At night she sleeps very very late. That's Maryam Maisarah, my little baby. Its been a taxing time, working till late in the evening, going home and having to look after her till late at night. Still, like any children of yours, they bring joy to your life. So no complain. Just get on with it.

Maisarah oh Maisarah

Last night Maisarah just refused to sleep. She was crying and crying right up till almost 3.30 am. Wah..... very very tiring, trying to pacify her. She would stop crying for a while, then start again. Nothing that we did pleased her. As a result, this morning, I woke up at almost seven, something I have not done for a long long time.

Class of 73'

Got this picture from an old schoolmate through the Whatsup. The social applications available these days can be quite useful. Met many old friend again. Although just in cyberspace, they rekindle old memories just the same. Many that I have forgotten are coming back slowly little by little.

At least once a day

Today I found the time to update the blog. Over a fifteen minutes period, I quickly upload four articles. Not that they are great articles, just something I write, pictures, that's all. To keep up with my intention of uploading at least once a day.

Arsenal season about to unravel

The next few weeks will decide Arsenal's future during this football season. As has been the case many times previously, Arsenal's season is about to unravel again. Or will it. Many times in the past, Arsenal have everything in sight from the premier league to the champions league. They were in the running for all the trophies available. Then, they face a crucial period where all the important matches are played. and suddenly, find themselves out of all competitions. This happens in just a few crucial weeks, sometimes over days.  This season, they again find themselves in similar situation. FA cup against Liverpool, Champions league against Bayern Munich and premier league match against MU, all over a next few days! Lose all of them and they are out of all competitions again. Just like previously.
Guess where. Somewhere in Pucong area. The lake beside the new highway, the SVP. Beautiful place. Great potential for tourist activity in the future.

My photo

Photos of me at a restaurant while waiting for my food.

The idle mind is a devil workshop

Been too  busy these past few days don't have time to look at my blog. With two babies in tow, time is never mind alone. Most of the time, its either one or the other that I have to attend to. They need my attention as they are still so small. As a result, I can hardly find the time to indulge in my favourite activities like reading, updating my blog etc. Add that to my job, I'm all ties up, from morning till night. Still, I have no complain. Better busy than nothing to do. They say, the idle mind is a devils workshop!

One year on

Today is exactly one year to the day I reported for duty, starting work for my second coming. It was tentative, I was unsure, but one year on, I'm full blown into work. It has been one new experience after another. I'm learning while working and will keep on learning. Although I have worked for over thirty two years before, there's still so much to learn. It keeps me on tenterhooks, keeps my body active, my brain ticking and keeps me alive and kicking. Alhamdulillah.....

Two babies

Akid/Maisarah

They have been away for a week now. I miss them. No matter the sleepless nights, the noise, the tired limbs, the aching body, the continuous crying with them around. I take them all.

A beautiful day

Its a beautiful day this morning. The sun shining brightly, making the day seem cheerful and friendly. Makes me feel like I want to go out and enjoy it but alas, I'm at work. Nevertheless, it makes my day already. Plenty to look forward to, no matter what's the obstacle. There's always the good and there's always the bad. Take them all as they come. That's living life to the full.

My little girl

Maryam Maisarah is a big baby now. More than forty days. Eyes open wide. I'm missing her already.

Master Maurinho

So Maurinho is the master tactician alright. He brought his Chelsea team to the City den, where they have smashed all comers so far, and came away a winner! He must be doing something right as City failed to score. A setback indeed for City as they have been scoring at will, especially at home. Didn't watch the game so I don't know how Maurinho played his cards. Could he have stifled the midfield, closed up the game preventing City from playing their normal game? Or could he have played an attacking formation, engaging City in their own game?

Side bags for my bike

The traffic has been great the past few days. Smooth riding all the way and back. Not that it has any affect on me anyway. Traffic jam or no, with a motorbike, its smooth going all the time. I'm thinking of getting the side bags for my bike. They normally would have it for the super bikes but what the heck, my ex 5 can have it as well! Only the price is putting me off at the moment. I'm looking for a cheaper option.

Where is the food?

Where is the food?

I actually enjoyed it

Three days went by just like that. Today I'm already back at work. Many things to do, many meetings to attend, many reports to complete etc etc. Come to think of it, its the work that keeps you alive and kicking. I mean without work, life would be lifeless. The brain and the body would feel lethargic. On the other hand, I went through life without work for almost two years. I actually enjoyed it.

Akid and Maisarah

Maisarah is beginning to look more and more like Akid. No surprise there. After all they are brother and sister.
