Great! Now I know the time I can sit down and dabble with the computer. Its early in the morning, just before office hours. I will sit at the canteen and on my computer. Today is my first day doing that. See how it goes. If things turn out okay, This will be my new routine. Drive to work, arrive at workplace, sit at the canteen and write for half an hour. Then enter office when its time.

Back on
For over a week, I couldn't find the time to dabble with the computer. Because of that, the computer was off all this while. Now when I try to on it, it is so damn slow. Don't know what is wrong. Took me almost half an hour just to get to this page. Anyway, finally, I made it. Now I will start writing again. Its been a while, one week in fact.

Back from the holidays
Last Thursday thought I'd try a new route coming back from work. This new route means I have to drive through the North South Highway towards Klang from Damansara. Driving through Damansara was alright. The traffic on the road was not heavy. However, on reaching the entrance to the highway after the toll plaza, I noticed plenty of vehicles, locked in a jam off course. Why I thought. Then I realised. People are driving back to KL after the holidays. Therefore, instead of entering the highway towards Klang, I decided to go the opposite way just to avoid the jam. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, avoid the highways.
Consequences
My jogging timetable has gone haywire. My sleeping time is a lot less. My Arab class has definitely got to stop. My daily obligatory prayer five times a day at the local mosque is out. I cannot find the time to blog. I spent less time with Akid. Those are the consequences of working. On the other hand, my eating time is back to regular. My visit to the loo is also regular. I'm using a lot of my right side of the brain, doing technical. The car is being used everyday, instead of being park at the house, giving battery problem every now and then. I'm ............
Less time
Now that I'm working, the time to indulge in my favourite pastime, blogging, is definitely less. I'm out on the road early in the morning, about 6.30am. I will not be back till almost the evening prayers, about 7.30pm. Back home I have my obligations to fulfill. The time when I'm free to blog will be late in the night by which time I will be too tired and sleepy already. So, most of the time, its goodnight and good riddance to blogging.

A sign of desperation
Its not enough with the Myanmars, Indonesians, Phillipinos, Pakistanis etc etc. They had to bring in the Koreans as well! A sign of desperation indeed! Could it be these are their last few weeks in power. Only God knows!
So soon?
Last night I was at LCC to see off my children who were going to Perth. The airport was packed as usual. People are coming and going, perhaps taking advantage of the long holidays. The car park was also full of cars, even at this time of the day, or should I say night. On the way back, I drove along the north south highway, coming in at just after Nilai. The traffic was heavy. It was quite a surprised. Are the holiday makers already driving back to KL? So soon?

Time constraint
Its been a week since I last went jogging. My unexpected return to the working world has turned my exercise routine upside down. Don't know when I can find the time to exercise because on weekdays, I will only reach home by about seven in the evening. On weekends, I feel just too tired to do anything but rest. I need to readjust fast. Find the time, by hook or by crook. Its got to be done!

Its a Saturday
Hei, its Saturday! I don't have to go to work. Wow! How wonderful it feels. Lazing around the house, watch TV, read the papers, surf the internet, sleep, play with Akid......... If only everyday can be like this. What? Just a few days into the workforce after a two years break and I'm already thinking like this. You know what? If everyday is like that, the feeling will not be the same. It becomes an everyday thing, normal, routine, mundane. When its once in a blue moon, then the enjoyment doubles or even triples.
Back in the crowd
View from my office at 5.30pm. The jam is building up. Its either you leave your office now or wait. The wait can be two to three hours later when the jam clears.
Readjustment
Now that I'm working again, I have to readjust my body to suit the requirement. Waking up early is not a problem cause I have been doing that even when not working. Its getting used to the traffic jam, not able to sleep during daytime, no time for exercise, having to attend meetings, preparing memo etc etc. It will take some adjusting for sure. The thing I missed most is going to the mosque for prayers, five times a day. I enjoyed that but now I have to miss it. Anyway, life is like that. The unexpected happens when you least expected it. No matter what, I forever remain grateful to Allah Insha Allah.
Why do people work?
Suddenly, out of the blue, I'm back working! A few weeks ago I was asked if I'm willing to work again. I said let me give some thought to it first. After all, almost two years into retirement, I am still very much enjoying the life I'm living now. Its a great way to live, not having to work. However, somehow I found myself saying yes to the question. After that, things moved very fast so much so that within a few days, I find myself back in the workforce. Why do people work? To earn a living! Me? I guess its much the same.

At a wedding
At the wedding of the son of one of our University of Surrey mates held in Keramat. Met many old university colleagues and office mates. Pity couldn't stay long cause I had another wedding to attend. Besides, Akid was getting restless. Would have love to stay longer, catching up on old friends. Maybe some other time!
Managing time
Another two days have gone without me looking at my blog. Funny come to think of it. I am not working nor am I on to some short term project or what but still, I couldn't find the time to look at my blog. Can't remember what actually I have been doing the past few days that have been keeping me away. On Saturday, I went to a few weddings. On Sunday I went jogging. On Monday I went for my Arab class. That's it. These activities don't take much of my time away! But why didn't I blog? That's why I guess managing time is very important. Otherwise it will slip away just like that. Before you know it, you are already sixty plus!

And so will......
The coming election is going to be an interesting one. The very fact that the PM has not called for an election up till now clearly shows that he has not been able to find a suitable date thus far. Say what you want but he just couldn't find that window when he can comfortably call for an election knowing assuredly that BN will win. That elusive window never came because a Pakatan win looms everytime. Now he has been driven closer and closer to the wall. That element of surprise is gone forever and so will BN.
Wow
I thought the new year has just started but today we are already on the second day of the second month. Wow! I thought I didn't publish anything for just a day but its two days already in actual fact. Wow! That's how time moves. If you procrastinate, it makes things worse. Before you knew it, its already a week gone, or a month gone, or even a year gone. Life in this world is short, no matter how long you live. I thought it was not too long ago when I was a teenager but today, I am already a senior citizen. Wow!
