I have forgotten how to count!

The other day I was doing a simple calculation, ten thousand something minus a thousand something. What a struggle it turned out to be. Why? Simply because I was doing it manually. When I finally got to the result, I was not certain that it was right because the number looks a bit odd. I tried again and this time got a different result! Tried again and got another result. That was the final straw. I had to turn to my hand phone calculator for help. Sure enough, it gave the right result which was different from all of my earlier results. What does it mean? I have lost the ability to count.
That is what technology is doing to us!

Barcelona, the team to beat

Who can stop Barcelona this season? Real Madrid? Its a long shot. They have been struggling lately having dropped two more points this morning while Barcelona keeps on cruising, winning and winning and winning. In Europe, the next clash with Arsenal will be interesting. I believe Wenger will come out fighting even though his team is leading by a goal. Arsenal to go through to the next round.

My beach

Need I say more?

Enchanting

A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Who could not but be enchanted by the beauty of this scene?

First impression

Driving through Kerteh, I thought I was in a town somewhere in the US of A.

Libya on the brink

Looks like Libya's Ghadafi is set to be the next long time ruler to be shown the exit door. Only in his case, it could be much worse. Been following the happenings in Libya closely. I believe its only a matter of time. Somehow the Arab people are going through a profound change, change that we could not have imagine just months ago. What was it that triggered this change? Or could it be something that has been long simmering underneath, just waiting for the right time to surface? We'll never know.

Having a cuppa

Car wash

While driving to KT, stop at this car wash in Kemaman. If in KL, its done manually, here its high tech. You remain in your car while it went through the process of being wash. I remember in KL it was like that before but somehow it went out of fashion but not in Kemaman. Notice the cars in the background, queuing up for the wash.

Going through the process

A beautiful time

I went for a jog at Pantai Batu Burok, KT today. Running by the beach, the strong breeze was a welcome addition to the elements. It was really wonderful. If only I can run by the beach everyday. The breeze will act like an additional adrenaline. It makes the body extra strong while the mind feel as free as a bird.

Where will the wind blow next?

Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, Algeria, Morroco, Iran, Kuwait, and ......... your guess is as good as mine. It seems that ordinary people have suddenly found their voices and are not afraid to show it! The wind is blowing. Where will it go next?

When will it all end?

I was in Genting over the weekend. No, not to enjoy the sights and the rides but to be huddled in a room talking about work for two days and nights. What a great way to spend the weekend.... in Genting at that. Back to the house for a day after the Genting experience and then off to another destination, another day, another duty. It seems that the nearer I get to the Day of R, the busier I become.

Giving me the blues

I really don't know what to say about my internet in my house lately. The service is perhaps best 'forgotten'. One minute its up and the next minute its down. Very frustrating. Been like that for the past one week. Terrible!

A day to remember

All that went wrong yesterday went right today except for one. Early in the morning, I already cleared one and the rest followed soon after. As for the one that is still pending, I'm already on track to clear it. So, one day its up and one day its down. Its like a wheel that is constantly moving. You are never up all the time or never down all the time. Life as they say, is like a roller coaster.

A day to forget

In living our daily life, there are days when nothings seems to go your way. For me, today was one of those days. The morning started normally enough but as the day goes on, problems came one after the other, in quick succession. By the time evening came, all I wanted to do was to go home and perhaps find refuge in my house by surfing the internet. But wait! what did I find? The internet was out! That my friend, is the story of my day.

Maulid

This is the day the Prophet Muhammad SAW was born. A day of joy for all Muslims across the world for he brought us the Quran, taught us the Sunnah and lead us onto the right path. The struggles of the prophet SAW and his exemplary behavior is a continued source of inspiration for Muslims the world over, forever.

Egypt leads the way

Victory is sweet. No doubt about that. People in Egypt are still savouring their success two days after the event. They are cleaning up Tahrir square all on their own. They have found a new sense of freedom, of purpose, of love for their country and most of all, proud to be Egyptian. A great future awaits them and for all mankind who detest oppression and tyranny.

Tongkat Ali

The powers of Tongkat Ali remains a mystery. Is it true or is it a myth? No matter what, its popularity surely cannot be denied.

Bags of Tongkat Ali, Kacip Fatimah and what have you

Hail to the Egyptian people

A revolution extraordinaire! Against all the odds, an autocratic regime that has been in power for over thirty years came crushing down. A new day has dawn. A new beginning. An new and exciting journey awaits them. Watching the events as it unfolded, tears of joy flowed from my eyes. I feel for them, I identify with their struggles and today, I hail their success. Today, we join them in celebrating this joyous occassion. Tomorrow can wait.

Startling kind of facts

Do you know that in China, the number of divorces occurring in a year are more than the number of marriages. Surprise? So am I. I always thought these kind of numbers for those kind of things only happened for those kind of people that have a certain kind of lives in a certain kind of world! Obviously I thought wrong.

A rush for nothing

The meeting ran late such that the drive to KT airport had to be done in double quick time. Reached the airport just ten minutes before flight time. I was so relieved. Jumped out of the car and ran to the departure hall.... only to be told on reaching it that the flight has been delayed. What the ......

My continuing saga

Somehow today I knew it was going to be a difficult day. Sure enough, after only a minute of jogging, my legs felt heavy, my heart was panting more and my body felt extremely tired. My head said stop, end all this misery right now but my heart said no..... continue. I followed my heart and dragged on. Then I saw it. Immediately, the adrenaline came rushing back. I pushed myself for one last mile....... and made it! I'm so happy.

Total chaos

I watch in astonishment as the events unfolded in Egypt. The country has descended into chaos. Running battles are going on in the streets but where are the police? Could it be a deliberate attempt to frighten the people into intimidation?

Insane!

While ordinary people are struggling to live their daily life, the football world seem oblivious to it all. 50 million pound for a player. That's absurd even if he is a proven product, dedicated and trouble free. But wait, there's another that is even more mind boggling. 35 million pound for a player who has played just 41 premier league matches and one international. That's on the field. Off the field, he is also not exactly trouble free. If that is not worrisome, then I don't know what is!

Clinging on

One million people! Maybe even more. The message is loud and clear but still Mubarak wants to stay on! Perhaps he is too disconnected with reality to understand! The army understood. The world understood. His closest ally, the US of A understood. But him?
